Hi all

Front and rear bumber begin to show rust so i project to sand,prime,paint them.

I wondering if someone have a pic of a black 2nd generation with matching bumbers and grill(and little plastic thing at the bottom of rear doors)

Or a good photoshop can do the job too.

I'm glad to have a digital camera.I have put my home/custom made roof rack on the rig yesterday(with tire carrier).Just miss the set of lights from ebay ,i will probably have it this week.

Anyways,i will try to post pics if i can find a way to borrow a cam.

I want to do this too, paint bumper to match. another thing I want to do it paint the door handles and mirrors to match, but first i need to find a black set instead of the chrome.

Check on Ebay for yours blacks mirrors 914runner , is not very expensive .

30$ per pair, seem a good deal but dunno the quality of the product.

 

I've got a pic of mine...but only some front shots. I have a black rig too...but I would do what Spock suggested and get the ones off EBay or ones similar. The dealer sells black bumpers too...but obviously those would cost a crap load more...buying them would be easier and may end up costing a similar amout of money based on the effort and materials needed to clean the old ones up.

I just got finished painting my rear chrome bumper black and it really was not a big deal getting it ready to paint. I used a drill with a 2" wire brush attached to get the rush off and then sanded it front and back and laid on a coat of primer, resanded and then reprimered front and back. I painted the back with flat black for a coating and then bamachem painted the front. We also did the license frame. You like?

anyways i think i will paint them.I have the aluminium bumber ,not the chrome and they look crappy anyways so it's will be better all black.
