3rd gen Rear Speaker wire colors?

3rd gen Rear Speaker wire colors?
Please excuse my rediculously stupid question...
I haven't cracked open the passenger side door, but on the driver rear door.
All logic of every speaker I've ever wired says red is positive white is negative, but it does seem to sound better with white as positive and red as negative?
Anyone that's replaced their rear speakers got a word of advice on this?
