Hello, I have a Toyota Pickup 3VZ-E 1991, manual transmission, 4WD. The other day I jumped E1 and T1 over the diagnosis port and the CEL light blinked two times then 5 times so a 25 code. The strange thing is that there is no CEL when the car is ON. When I put the key on ACC position it turns the CEL on and when I turn on the truck the CEL goes away (I think that is normal right?). Maybe someone can help me to figure out why this code is not turning the CEL light but it can be read using the diagnosis port.

 

It is probably a stored code.

 

If it's a stored code (which means you once had a lean condition, but currently you do not), you can clear it by removing the EFI fuse for about 30 seconds.

Drive it around for a day, then check again for codes.
