Ive done some looking because the 265/75's on my taco are not far from due, and that is a tire Ive looked at. In the past 4 sets of tires I've bought for my vehicles, I havent found a better deal than discount tire or tire rack as far as lookin locally.

For the same size (285) I was quoted $151 on the military base...not bad..but I will have to take them to firestone to mount...sort of lame

Not to steal the thread, but I see you are in the military and with your sig, do you have anything to do with the c-130's?

Shoot me an e-mail at my work bellickson@smtire.com and I will price them out. I can't ship to you, but I can give you cost on the tires and you can use that to your advantage when you shop places. I just put a set of 265's on my truck and love them!

Yep, I fly on them. I am a Flight Engineer on the C-130H1 (74 year models). If you have no clue what an FE does, I am not an engineer like you are thinking...more like a monkey trying to get the treat when a light comes on...I flick it. I sit between the two pilots in-flight and run all the systems. I love the job and I love the plane..the herk is a solid plane.

now back to the thread..because now I am feeling like a talking about work

Just to warn you.... Firestone is an inferior tire. They still produce tires that will have the tread break away from the tire. It is old news so you never hear about it anymore, but if you don't believe me ask a wrecker. He picks up cars every day with blown out Firestones. Just remember, your life is riding on those tires!

this place has decent prices on some of their tires, not all makes and sizes are a good deal, but some stuff is. my buddy got a set of 37-12.5-17 krawlers for like 250 a piece after he called them.

Hey,

I paid a total of $146.32 for five Destinations LT265/75R-16's (from Tire Rack) and that includes shipping. Hope this helps.

Under $30 a tire!?!?!?!?!

If you ever run accrss that deal again, let me know! I would stoop as low as to buy firstones for that price! I would never put them on my truck but I would sell them and buy me some good tires!
