Hey guys!
This is my second truck and my first yota! It's a 95 with the 2.7 and I just broke 229K. I got the truck last April and have fallen in love with it. Initially it was gonna be a beater, but I decided to restore it as a rugged daily use truck. I have done most of the work myself other than wheels, lift, and bodywork being left to the pros! Started with an interior restoration with all new parts, then went on to do mechanical stuff and power upgrades, obviously limited with a four banger lol
Glad to be a part of the forum! You guys helped me with a lot of stuff so I decided to join! Enjoy the pictures! The first few are before pics and the last few are the after.
The interior was so beat up and the paint looks great in the first pic, I assure you it wasn't.
List of what's been done by mostly me:
- Interior restoration complete with red led interior lights
-New taillights, side markers, and painted the grill
- Exhaust rebuild from O2 sensors and back
-Starter rebuild, plugs and wires, high crank battery
-Deckplate mod with K&N filter and MAF clean
-Spray in bedliner, bed lined bumpers and bull bar
-CB radio with PA
-Front and rear auxiliary lights
-Frame paint and undercoat
-So much more small stuff that's too much to list!
That's a nice looking truck. I like whatever color that is (tan?) with the all black. The early Tacoma's with regular cab have a classic look. That truck went to a good home. How was the frame on this when you bought it?

Thanks!
The color I picked happened to be a Toyota color (what are the odds?) It's Toyota Beige (4Q4) but in a matte color. Original color was that metallic tan (4M4).
I lucked out with the frame. The previous owner had it replaced three or four years ago coupled with the install of a 2" body lift. I painted it myself and will be undercoating it as well with some stuff I used in my other rig. New England winters with all the salt suck!
Finally found some lower front filler panels. The truck was missing them, definitely makes the truck look more complete!
Easiest thing I have done to the truck besides wash it, they just push in and attach to two plastic clips.
