Been surfing a while since i picked up a 94 4Runner project. 3.0 and a 5 speed 4X4. It is in really good shape except the engine. Paid a grand for it and have put a couple more in it replacing the engine, clutch, shocks, tune up etc. Just want to say Thanks for a lot of good info! I had one problem that kicked my a** but found the answer here. I had a smooth idle but hesitation and misfiring on acceleration and after checking a ton of stuff, found the timing belt tensioner had collapsed and was causing it. Someone mentioned it in one of the threads i read..
Still have an EGR code and have been checking through it but runs very good now. I also want to change the ADD to manual locking hubs when i find some.
Previous owner airbrushed some artwork on it..
