Where can I get his damn pulley without it being $150?

how is it even possible for a pulley to be this expensive

 

Can I just use an AC idler pulley for the power steering? It's $140 cheaper for some damn reason

 

You could try to use s different pulley provided s few things are the same.

The shaft of both the pump and compressor would need to be the same.

The diameter of the pulley would need to be similar. Too small and your steering will be hard, too large and you could blow out things from over pressure.

 

Why has it failed ??

Unless the bracket has broken??

Bearings can be replaced quite cheap

It's gone. I removed the belt a while ago and it must have rattled loose

 

While you're waiting to find you one, check and make sure there isn't part of a bolt broke off in there.

Since you don't have the old pulley, there is a pn for a Dayco pulley in the posted link, but it is slightly larger and requires a longer belt.

 

Ok now we know your pulley is gone.

The adjustment hardware ?/
