Please help me identify I've been searching everywhere and can't seem to figure out what it is

 

That's messed up!!! looks like you have a lift kit of some nature and that crossmember would have come with the kit, so not sure what the manufacturer of that kit would call it. Possibly rear cross brace/frame brace? Not a Toyota part. Sdori made one for stock non lifted suspensions, but I don't think it would work in your situation, best to find the manufacturer of that kit and contact them.

 

Nothing that can`t be welded at least by a decent welder

Perhaps make some gussets for both sides

Fess up and tell us just how it failed .

Maybe to keep from doing it again

That is such a clean break at least from what I can see by the picture looks almost like it was cut

 

i am with Wyoming9, that is a clean break, almost looks like it was cut.

I tried to find a name for it in the FSM in the suspension components section but no luck.
(maybe lower rear front suspension crossmember if that makes sense)

Looks like it would be 4-8 bolts to remove it. Have it rewelded with gussetts on top and bottom.

 

Dropzone, not a stock Toyota part so you would not find it in the FSM. The front one is called Cross Member Sub-Assembly #2 from what I can dig up.


From the picture it looks like that part is under allot of tension. The rear drop brackets for the lift kit have splayed out without that brace.


Along with gussetts, I would box it also(possible overkill), does not appear to be anything more than a piece of channel steel, probably has some eyes welded in where the bolts go thru to keep the ends from collapsing/squeezing inward.
