sealant on top bolt of oil pump 22RE

Hi guys - My oil pump has a leak between the pump body and the timing cover, pooling right at the bottom center. It is not the front seal. I think it is because I didn't put sealant on the top bolt. Going to take the pump off today.
My question is. Do you all use Loctite 271 (red) or Permatex red threadlocker?
Seems to me that that would make the top bolt a real bugger to remove in the future. Wouldn't Loctite blue suffice?

What have you'all used successfully? thanks

Use a thread sealer, not a thread locker.

I use Permatex High Temperature Thread Sealant #59214.

I believe the is an O ring around the oil pump housing. Those get brittle and flat and start to leak over time.
