1st Gen (84-89) 4Runner Rear Tailgate Window

Hi, looking for a rear window with defroster/defogger for a 1st gen 4runner. It needs to have solid non-rusty tracks on it. there can be some surface rust, but nothing rotted. Looking to buy immediately. PM or reply to this thread with Price shipped to 07604.

Thanks,
Greg

I have a really dumb question. Will a 1990 rear window work? It's clearly not in the year rang or generation. But I thought I might ask. If so. I have one.

I might take you up on that. It's proving a little difficult to find one in good condition locally.

I found one on my local used parts site. The guy wants 50$ for it. I'm in the Sacramento area and live really close to him. Should I go check into it?

The problem I keep running into is that no one wants to ship it because it's glass. They are rightfully afraid it will never make it in one piece.

Is the glass for your truck not mass produced from auto glass company's ?

I'm just going to throw this out there. I work for a nation wide freight company and can positively get it there in one piece.

If this glass is discontinued I'll go pick this local piece and send it out there.

I might have one
But I doubt the defroster works

BTW - check the wire harness going to it.
Mine was all "green" on the wire
I soldered up a new harness and that helped.

^^^A road trip to Delaware doesn't sound bad.

There's one on my Craigslist for $125 https://richmond.craigslist.org/pts/5797430794.html

Is it possible to get one from a windshield shop?
