Collector plates in Washington state

As the title states this is about collector plates in Washington state. I have looked online and the DOL website. And get different answers depending on who I ask at DOL offices. The DOL say I may only be driven to club type events, parades, limited use driving. HB 1933 in 2011 addressed age of vehicle issues and different plates. Collector vs Antique. Collector could be driven as usually and antique would be to and from club events ect. Does anyone on here have first hand experience with this? I would like to save money on tabs by at the same time if it's ping to be a hassle then would rather just get the normal plates. What say the interwebs?

Unfortunately, if you are planning to drive the vehicle as a daily driver, then you will need to buy regular tabs, what you can do is buy personal plates, yeah its like $40 EXTRA to do that, but makes it more personal. If you haven't figured it out, just like any other government agency, they are always looking for ways to get your cash. The "antique" or "vintage" collector plates are just for vehicles that get driven like 100-500 miles a year. Good luck
