I purchased my first 4Runner over the summer to have a temporary daily while I'm in college, I fell in love with it and had it stolen one morning and thankfully found it a few hours later, now I have an attachment to the bucket o bolts and plan on putting my blood sweat and tears into it

This is her most recently, I've put new upper control arms, new driveshafts, 31x10.50 tires (hopefully 33s soon), and best of all a freshly rebuilt motor!!! 1000 miles fresh! I hope to keep posting any updates as regularly as I can!
Welcome to Yotatech, you have a really nice looking 4runner! How do your buddies like those LED lightbars?
They dig em, the white runner has them drilled into the winch plate on a trail gear bumper so they were relatively easy to mount and set up the other one cut a hole in the stock bumper but he loves that setup, I personally think the circle lights look better on the first gens. And the light bars up top are pretty dang sweet but not used as much as we want

So I got a softopper from my buddy and I want to have a roof rack still so I plan on fabbing a cage of some sort to bolt in underneath the softopper and make exterior support for a rack on top. Sort of like a utility rack and I plan on doing this as soon as school is over and I have time to finally work on my truck
Hey man at the very least pull a fuse from the kick panel when you leave the truck alone to make sure it's disabled. Engine fuse or EFI i forget now, will prevent it from starting.

Congrats on the softtopper, I'm jealous, I've been wanting one forever! Here's a pic of one of my favorite 1st gen 4runner's with a soft top and roof rack, might give you some ideas.
I haven't posted in a while I've been pretty busy. But here she is with the softopper and after I cranked the t bars a bit and put those trail gear 6 inch shackles in the back. It sits a bit prettier but that's about it.
I started smelling a bit rich when I was driving home and I figured it was time to change the oil and pull the plugs. All the plugs were the same which made me so happy since it was the first time checking since it was rebuilt. The oil smelled a bit like gas though and I'm wondering if it's my cold start injector. I've had problems keeping the idle up during cold mornings and once it heats up the trucks fine. I went ahead and got a few parts from a few streets down where a guy is parting his truck. I figured I'd grab a few other parts like the egr valve and some sensors just to make sure everything is working right. I'm not sure what else could cause the gas in the oil since I replaced all the other injectors.
So I got a trailmaster lift for 200 bucks with shocks so I figured that the truck is mostly a highway rig so it'll keep stock geometry and what not. It's got blocks in the rear so I figure I'll find a pair of chevy 63s for more travel and no axle wrap.
I had to cut the original crossmember mount but I didn't want to chop the whole thing off
I have the bracket for the brake line drop since it's a bracket lift, but I don't have the additional brake line so I'm thinking of just threading another set of stock brake lines to the existing ones and just having super long brake lines, if anyone else has any other good ideas I'd love to hear them
the ubolts are correct for factory. its would be a good idea to do a ubolt flip tho. itll make you remount the shocks on seperate tabs, but it keeps you from snagging those ubolts on rocks.
Son, the U bolts are upside down & set up the other side-
It's not a u bolt flip kit like most lifted rear ends with bigger spring packs but this is a block so ya know it's still stock and the shock mount is on the bottom, these bolts are just pretty long and a sawzall will make it look better.
