tell me about your audio system
I recently bought a 2002 SR5 4Runner and plan to upgrade the speakers and head unit. I'm curious what others have put in their 4Runners. Speaker brands, models, ohms, amp size, etc.
FYI, I already have the following that will be going into my truck:
-JL Audio powerwedge 12", 50-300 watts RMS (600 watts peak power), 4 ohms
-Eclipse Amplifier 480 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
-(likely to purchase): Clarion NX604 in dash GPS stereo double din, 18 watts RMS (50 watts peak)
What else do I need? Likely at least an amp for the new stereo, right? One with 4 channels? 2 with 4 channels? Since I have 6 speakers, I'm guessing I need 2 more amps. Can those factory 13-year-old speakers handle it?
