ID these sensors please

1987 22re turbo 4runner

Water inlet/thermo housing

I can't for the life of me find what these sensors are called in the FSM or anywhere online.

Not sure if I should replace them while I have it off, connectors work on them even though the black center piece on one is not there..

Do you have any idea what color wires go to these sensors .

Makes it so much easier to tell what they are by wire color

Are you sure that water neck is from that engine ??

One looks like the temperature gauge sending unit should be a Yellow wire with a Green Stripe

Which is usually on the manifold Do you have another sending unit on the manifold toward the firewall.

If one is Green Black Stripe water thermo switch

These are the only two one wire coolant sensors I see.

Is this a California Emissions Truck ??

They are different then the Federal .
.

I have two of these engines and my water outlets only have one bung.

No Idea if mine have been changed or not.

It is so fun to get a wiring nightmare.

I hope that helps
