Question for a 02 Tacoma 4x4. I have a rattle coming from under the passenger side airbag assembly in the dash. Has anyone else had similar problems? Does anyone know how to fix it without tying my truck up at the dealer.

 

Could be something loose in the glovebox or behind it. Might try taking it apart. Shouldn't be too difficult.

 

this is a very common problems for tacomas 01 and higher.
Take it back to the dealer, they are very well aware of the rattling dash problem. I'm still waiting for mines to rattle but so far no go yet.

My friend who bought an 02 tacoma on September just had his fixed a few weeks ago due to the dash rattle.
My friend mentioned something about the screws or nuts of the airbags coming lose.
