cel is on - had it scanned at local parts store - misfire on cylinders 4 and 5 - I took it to a friend of mine who is a very good mechanic he has a better scanner than the parts store - his will retrieve live data - cylinder 4 is mis firing at idle but comes back at 3000 RPMs - cylinder 5 is great at an idle but mis fires at 3000 RPMs - have replaced all 3 coil packs - new plugs " ngk dual electrode and gapped correctly " and new plug wires ---- never seen a mis fire swap cylinders like this -- HELP !!!!!!

 

Get yourself a FSM. It outlines misfiring diagnostics very well. It includes checking wires from ECU to ignitor and ignitor to coils. A failing crank sensor will cause weird misfires, as will a loose crankshaft pulley.

 

Recently had the same exact problem that ended up being a couple $35 fuel injectors and problem solved..
