Why ??

Just what are you trying to do??

As the ignition switch controls quite a few things .

Just what does not work??

It's easy! They do it in the movies all the time. You just reach under the dash (anywhere), and pull out some wires. There will be two wires (with the ends already stripped). Touch those two wires together and vroom!, the truck starts.

Well, maybe not in real life. The ignition switch has an 8-pin connector. The switch has 4 positions. To bypass the switch, you need to connect (and disconnect) those 8 pins in sequence through the 4 positions.

So as wyoming9 says, it all depends on what you're doing. If you have a broken switch, the easy way is to just get a replacement and plug it in. If you're playing GTA, just see the first paragraph.

well its already bypassed when I bought it about a month ago but when I walked out to crank it the next day it wouldn't crank. I jumped it off it took a while for it to crank I drove it around for about 30 minutes stopped and got gas cut the truck off I tried cranking it maybe 8 minutes later and it wouldn't crank. so I figured maybe the did something wrong so I just wont to redo it when I would go to turn the truck on it would give this click noise with lights lit up on the 2nd try I wouldn't get any lights or anything this is my first Toyota and I don't know much about them.

Do you have any idea just what has been done??

Without knowing just what you have to work with .

Your best bet is to return it to stock.

That way you can work with the schematics.

Rather then have no idea

Be nice to know where you live perhaps someone Local could help you fix this mess.
