Inner hub bearing

Hey,

I could really use some help. My inner hub bearing is shot. I pulled the steering knuckle and found the inner brass bushing. From what I have heard these are pressed in. My question is; how do you press out the bushing? And when said bushing is pressed out, will the inner bearing come out with it? The wheel bearing it self is fine.

Thanks

-Greg

Yeah, I guess that would be helpful LOL!

95.5 Tacoma
Single cab
5vzfe (not sure if the engine matters)
Manual locking Aisin hubs

This is located in the back side of the steering knuckle.

I thought the new models had wheel hub assemblies? Just replace the whole thing and be done with it. I havent done any front end work on 95.5 taco's tho, so I could be wrong.

I know the 2nd gen tacos are configured this way. ORS sells the brass wheel bushing and the inner hub bearing. So I figured it has to be serviceable

Smile Brass Bushings

You have to pull the brass bushing in order to get the roller bearing out. Pull brass bushing with a "Blind Hole Bearing Puller" . This tool is available at Harbor Freight Tools for around $40. Works like a charm! Good Luck!
