LED headlight polarity issues, 93 Pickup

Trying to get all my issues sorted on this beast before a trip...

I bought some LED headlights from eBay as my old headlights were increasingly dim and so old that when I pulled off the chrome retainer the lenses fell off!

Now it appears to me that my 93 feeds one +12V line to the lights and the hi/lo beam switch alternates between 2 ground lines going to the lamps. This works just fine for a halogen bulb that doesn't care about polarity but my LED's only seem to work in low beam and neither my high beam indicator nor my high beams will come on since the swap (given all the deer in the midwest this seems like a recipe for disaster)

Has anyone else run into this? How did you solve it?

I don't particularly like the idea of rewiring the entire column and gauge cluster to run +V thru the hi/low beam switch. It occurred to me that I could use a couple of rectifiers in harness but that seems like more clutter than I'd like if I can avoid it.

Use a headlight harness upgrade

I got a set of H6054 5x7's made in the Phillipines from Hybrid2.0 on eBay, paid $195 for the pair. I like them, visibility is VASTLY improved over stock.

I don't see any current listings but here's what they look like:

You have to use a relay. I bought the same headlights for mine and couldn't get them working either. Toyota uses a switched ground. Also your hi/lo beam indicator will not work on the dash either. I solved this by using a 2 oh 3 watt resistor.
