I have a '94 4x4 pickup with the V6, was wondering if anyone had any experience with swapping a manual transmission for an automatic?? Pros & Cons?? Easy or hard?? Can anyone give me a quick rundown on what to ecpect??

 

You should be able to find someone wanting a 5 speed to swap you an automatic

If that does not work out buy a complete donor vehicle other wise you will spend more time running for parts.

Why not sell what you have and buy what you want??

Other then the wiring harness for the transmission just lots of unbolting and removing things

The rear driveshafts are different.

 

My attitude as well. Sell or trade it for what you do want. Doing a 4.3 swap w/ a th350 is probably the easiest way to do it.
