Thing is most that received the new frames are really not your hard core Toyota Forum type people .
Sad fact was if you took your truck in to get checked and it failed you were done.
I think lots of us just fixed our trucks and were done. I know I fixed quite a few plus my own.

How can you tell if the frame has been replaced? My son's 2000 Tacoma has a white bar code sticker on the drivers side rear. It's visible just above the tire. I always thought the bar code meant the frame was replaced. His frame looks really good.
I though thought I had a picture. Can't find it.

About the only way I know is to take the Vin and register on that site that seems to be posted all over the place but I can never find.
My frame had that bar code sticker as well it for sure was not replaced.

I was hoping to find out if others had it. I had looked at a couple of Tacomas that had a replaced frame and had the bar code so I was hoping that was an indicator. Our Tacoma was registered to a shell corporation. I checked it out on CarFax and Toyota Owners before I bought it and there is absolutely no maintenance or recall info on it. Carfax said it was "corporate owned." It has had new spark plug wires and timing belt and the thing is pristine. I talked the seller down $800 based on no maintenance records. When I got the title (1 owner) it was purchased through the U.S. Senate and registered to an address in MD. When I google mapped the address it was on a point in the Potomac River with a huge maybe 5 car garage. Definitely a million dollar home. It was traded to a Toyota dealer and purchased at auction. I got a good deal and it's a great truck for a high school kid. It's has the TRD Off Road package and most options except a sunroof and tow hitch. It had new tires and even a matching spare with the nubs still on it. The frame is in very good shape.

Just keep an eye on the frame mine looked great when I bought it with 125,000 miles
.Almost 200,000 now.
This spring I needed to give it some TLC I use it to much to tie it up and build a new rear part of the frame.
Need to get another truck street legal.
