4 cylinder transfer case

is it as easy as bolt on . ....I want to put a 4 cylinder transfer case in place of my v6 transfer case . is it that easy ?

Is your v6 a manual or an auto? Why do you want to put a 4cyl case in?

Yes, it's bolt on with a v6 adapter. You'll need to get a different console depending on what model/year you have. You didn't say. We're assuming you're wanting to gear your case or go double someday?

sorry I have a 1990 sr5 truck with 3.0 and 5 speed. and I want to get a gear drivin dransfere case. ...so I cant just bolt the 4 cylinder transfer case on to the v6 5 speed?

No can do without aftermarket adapter.

Unless you're gonna gear 4.7s or double them, just stick with chain drive. It's be strong enough for most things. Like I said earlier, and was said just above again you need an adapter to bolt one on.
