93 toyota pickup 4x4 ex cab

in the process of replacing the leaf springs with new ones. got new shackles as well.

springs came with bushings pressed in. i have boughten new shackles twice. both times they came with each bolt being 18mm in diameter, thats too ˟stinking big bub! I'm being told by everyone including toyota that leaf springs bushings are a two piece system and have no inner metal sleeve, yes at the frame, but not at the shackle end to leaf. WHAT THE HELL. can't use old shackles, long story they are toast. they are however 14mm in diameter at the leaf end. any help with part numbers? all i can find at images of the two piece design and shackles for a 4runner NOT pickup as stated. the new pressed in bushings will work with the old shackle bolts so I am not going crazy.

top bolt is 18mm(thatsfine and correct), lower bolt needs to be 14mm. shackles I'm finding online are either both 18mm or not as long as my stock shackles are, something special going on here?

 

can't find the proper shackles for my truck, go figure, toyota is stumped…

solution is: 93-95 t100 4wd rear shackles on my 93 extend cab 4x4..lil bump in height.but they will fit according to the specs.

 

When I had a shell on my pickup, I didn't like the sag in the rear from the extra weight, so I installed a heavy duty shackle that gave it an extra 1 1/2 inches of lift. The replacement bolts were smaller diameter than the OE, and the OE were too short and too big to fit the shackles. I made a copper bushing that fit snugly in the leaf bushings to make up the difference, they've been on there for 23 years and haven't been a problem.

 

Looks like someone swapped some suspension parts which is always interesting when you don`t know.

order new springs, made for my truck, bushings included.
order new shackles made for my truck.
so they should work together, nothing old in the equation

the new springs are the exact same as my old ones, each end of the spring has a pressed in bushing. it would be odd that the previous owner had t100 springs and shackles on the truck, i order pickup springs, and received t100 springs instead.
