I have an 88 pickup 4x4 with new fuel tank,pump,plugs,wires,cap,egr,o2' It runs great for about an hour. It sputtered to a stop once and wouldnt restart. Thought it ran out of gas. Today it ran great. Full tank...for an hour. I shut it off at a store and it wouldnt restart. Cranks strong. New battery..but wouldnt stay running until it sat for about an hour or so....then ran great...any ideas would help...

 

Was a fuel filter done with the new fuel pump??

Might also be electrical the coil getting hot it quits cools down it runs till it gets hot again.

Might also be any electrical connection effected by getting hot .

 

New filter...will start and run for about 10, then might sputter out and not start all day or overnight...
