1000rpm idle surge caused from brake lights

My 1986 4x4 pick up 22re is having a surging problem caused by the brake lights when idling at 1000rpm or more. I held the brake switch down and pressed the brakes to rule out a vacuum problem so I know it's the brake lights but Idk how to fix it. Can any of y'all help me?

Mine used to surge when the temp got cold and I pressed the brakes, I searched everywhere and never had any luck... As I was coming home from work in December, I ran the truck up about 5500 rpm and it hasn't done it since, never figured it out, but I home that helps you some man

Clean all your engine and body grounding points, add a couple more while you're at it.
