Fuel pump not getting power

Fuel pump not getting power
Trying to start my fresh 22re rebuild in my 87 4Runner. Sounds as if it's not getting fuel. Checked lines all good, fuel pump is only working when I jump it to battery. Someone point me in the right direction here

How long since last time it did run? when you say jumped the fuel pump to battery did you just put power to it and used the factory ground or did you put both + and - from pump to battery. I ask because you need to find out if the pump is not getting power or not getting a ground.

And yes I just put power to it and used factory ground.

This wiring diagram will show you what you need to check with your multimeter...

Is the Induction plumbing (the big black hoses from the air-cleaner stuff to the throttle body stuff) all hooked up? You don't have a carburetor; if that stuff is disconnected the fuel pump is shut off. If so, follow wyoming9's advice.

Yes I have checked efi fuse but haven't checked relay yet. Where's it located?
Wyoming- I will give that a try and let you know from there.
Rusty- thank you for the link, helps a lot!
Scope- yes it's all plugged in. Will double check here in a min..

It is either a open fuse
Damaged wiring.
Bad EFI relay or Circuit open relay.
EFI relay should be in the fuse block behind the left kick panel
The Circuit Opening relay is in the area of the right door post above the ECU
These are the stock locations

It's not the EFI fuse or EFI relay; they provide power to B+, which you just used to run the fuel pump.
Does it run with the jumper? If so, your problem is in the VAF/COR circuit. Use the FSM and a multimeter to test each (the VAF is much easier to get to, so start there).
DON'T drive around with the jumper installed. The purpose of the COR is to shut off the fuel pump in the event of an accident that breaks a fuel line. If you have that accident with the jumper in place, we'll only hear about it on the 6 o'clock news ....

Go to page EG1-195 on the following link. You want to check VAF terminals E1 and Fc for continuity when the measuring plate is open.

If that checks out ok, check the COR using the procedure on this link...

Have someone rotate the distributor while you crank the engine to see if it will catch.
Did you check for spark?

Use this link to make sure the distributor is positioned correctly.

I would check that the injectors are all firing. If you can get access to a fuel pressure tester you could eliminate poor fuel pressure as a culprit.
