HID projector retrofit and wiring issue.
#1
So I retrofit my headlights with bi-xenon HID projectors to avoid blinding drivers with bad glare. Install went well everything is good and the lights are extremely bright and makes the road easy to see. The way the Bright's work is just a solenoid that pulls a flap down to allow light to shine up above the cutoff. They still need a little adjustment.
Only problem is that the bright's won't come on The wiring harness only plugs into one headlight socket and goes to a "control box" that then switches lights on, off and brights on off according to the signal from the original headlight socket. When I first hooked it all up the lows we're on and nothing happens when I turn on high beams. But when lights were off and I pulled the Bright's flash switch the low beam comes on.
I read that I need to swap the blue and white wire on the Hid control box harness. I tried this and still no luck. If I move the pins around in different configurations one of them turns Bright's on when I just turn on low beam on. I have tried every configuration of the pins and no luck.
I tested the wires coming from the combo switch and found a black and white wire that is all time ground and another that grounds out when the headlight switch is pushed forward. So it would seem that the combo switch works.
I ran a power wire from the battery to the solenoid and a wire from the switched ground combo switch wire and it wouldnt activate the solenoid. Could it be that the combo switch isnt grounding good enough to provide the necessary power to the solenoid? Getting aggregated with the high beams! Just want to get them to work!
