Battery Brain Gold

Hi all,

These trucks are ridiculously easy to steal and mine has been. I was lucky and got it back in one, unsoiled piece. I wanted to review one of the many anti-theft devices I now use.

The Battery Brain is a solenoid operated battery disconnect that can be operated manually, by remote or will automagically disconnect when voltage drops below 11.8. I have found it to be reliable after two months use, as easy to use as remote car locks and one more step between a thief and your baby.

It wouldn't be difficult to bypass, but considering car thieves are generally in a hurry I doubt many would risk sticking around long enough to try and figure it out. I would recommend at least one other anti-theft device in tandem.

One of the other advantages is the battery protection feature where it cuts the battery off automatically. With all of the accessories on some of our trucks electrical woes have more of an opportunity to rear their ugly head. This is a good safeguard that can keep enough voltage in your system to turn your truck over.

It comes with a number of ways to mount in your truck. The pic above is how I did it. You can also mount it remotely.

Yes, that is a dead link. The part however is still widely available. Summit, Amazon, virtually any popular online retailer dealing with automotive products.

I just wanted it as a product description. It isn't my intent to influence folks on where to buy things.
