22re ran out of oil...

my oil pan was leaking so i resealed it. got frustrated and forgot to torque my drain plug. drove to the girlfriends house and parked and smelled oil. looked under my truck and oil was still pouring from the drain plug. it put about 1 1/2 to two quarts on the ground where it was parked so it didnt necessarily run all the way out before i shut it down. i could see my oil trail and i walked it and it was about 400 feet. never found my drain plug so went and got a new one and some oil threw it in and it sounds fine.EXCEPT for a knock noise in the top end. i re adjusted the valves and still no difference. it is audible from inside the cab only when the heater and radio is off so it is quite faint. anything else to check? appreciate it thank you

Possible you starved one of the cam Journals not much you can do unless you want to pull it all apart.

If it gets worse then figure out what to do.

These things happen blame it on your girlfriend
