Have a 2001 4 runner 236,000mile on it only owner and it has started to only change gear when I let go of the gas. The rpm will hit 4-5 till it changes gear it also feel like it has no power I have replace the tranny(automatic) with one that has 86000 mile on it and the problem continues. There is no light on or any I have replace the fluids. Not sure what to really do anymore

 

5spd? Check for leaks in the slave cylinder or nay consider changing master cylinder
My '86 had the same problem, new master and slave cylinder made it good as new
