Hi guys I know I'm probably not the first guy to ask questions about wanting to build or buy a Marty Mcfly's Toyota in the back to the future movies, but my knowledge of toyota's is slim. So i have to asks a few questions. I also love the the 80's and the back to the future movies. I would like to buy a finished or project Toyota just like in the movie. I do know that they used a 1985 in first movie and 1986 in the last. Here are my questions. Thank you all in advance.

1. Do i have to buy a 1985/1986 in order to have a exact replica , meaning is there major changes that happened in 87,88,89…. that would cause the truck not to look the same? Are these changes easily changed, inexpensive or they purely mechanical. Is there any advantages of buying a later model year truck.

2. Are all XL cab short beds or just most of them? Are the lifted ones only the 4x4 trucks ?

3. What key things or options should i look for when buying a toyota truck. engines , turbos, suspension or packages ?

4. Anybody one here have their example of there BTTF truck to show off and tell me about theirs ?

5.What are the biggest issues and what to look out for when shopping for this particular truck?

85-88 will work. Not sure on bed length. I think they are all the same but could be wrong on that.
