1994 Toyota 4x4 truck - dash panel / seat cover questions

Hey guys - wow, been awhile since I have been here... 2008 to be exact.

Well I do not have a Toyota truck anymore, but my dad recently purchased one from a friend of a friend and trying to get it up to par.

It is a 1994 Toyota 4x4 truck. It needs a little tlc, mostly cosmetic. The paint is dead and it has bumps here and there, but a southern truck and 100% rust free. It has tons of miles at 288K, but the engine was supposedly rebuilt 3 years (40K ago), but I have noticed it has an oil leak (small drips under it) when turned off.

We already have ordered a taillight lens (broken lens) and front turn signal assembly (entire unit gone and only wires are there).

The two things now is that that the plastic edge on top of the dash on the driver side is broken. Do these just snap on and off and where would be the best place to find one? I did a little searching on ebay and couldn't find one.

Also, the driver seat is pretty worn, so at this point, just wanting a seat cover for it. It has the bench seat with the "fixed" head rests and I am really not finding a seat cover that will work for it. Has anyone else had any luck finding one that works well on these trucks?

Thanks in advance!

I have some front seat covers from wet okeola i really like in my '95. They're pricey but really well made. http://www.wetokole.com/mm5/merchant...pValue=4Runner

I recently picked up a dash cover from amazon. I haven't had a chance to open the box yet so I can't provide a review.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I think $250.00 is more than he wants to go on it, but thanks for the link.

Yeah, now on the dash cover, is this the one that covers over the original dash? I am actually looking for the end cap part on the driver side... his has broken in half.

Good luck finding seat covers for that 60/40. Impossible to find for less than a couple hundred bucks.

if you are referring to the trim that runs along the top of the speedo, good luck finding one. not all dashes had that trim piece, some dashes were one solid piece. it is screwed into place. mine has been broken for years, i've had no luck finding a new or used one. i just haven't brought myself to install one of those ugly ass carpet dash covers.

It actually has the one piece bench seat with the "fixed" headrests.

Yeah, that is the one. I think it is a hard plastic piece - one entire side is broken and missing. I always thought those were padded, obviously not.
