Hi! New poster but long time lurker. This forum has been extremely helpful to me. Thanks to everyone!!

My 88 4runner blew the HG and I replaced that, and all of the timing chain components and upgraded to steel guides. I also deleted ac an the egr system because it wasn't working. Heres a video. Everything is connected correctly, plugs, injectors, etc. I'm going to do a compression test tomorrow, but I am stumped on this noise.

 

Checked your fuel filter? Timing set correctly?

 

Timing is good, new fuel filter. I can check that it's put in correctly. Good call.

 

Figured it out. The ground that goes to a stud that connects the upper intake to the lower intake was still IN BETWEEN the intake sections. This caused a large vacuum leak which stopped the motor from running, and also made that whining sound.
