1994 4runner 3.0 cranks and dies
Hey Guys!
So I was just pretty much given this 1994 4runner 3.0. 150k miles... Timing belt and water pump was supposedly done 15k ago.
So what happens:
Turn the key, it fires up but runs supper rough for about 5-10 seconds, and dies. The whole time you are pretty much having to give it gas to keep it going. It honestly sounds like it is not running on all cylinders. After that, it is next to impossible to get it fired back up.
I really am just wondering where to start. I would love to get this beast up and running.
Any help would be amazing.
Thanks for all your help!

"5-10 seconds" suggests a problem in the VAF-COR system. (They fuel pump is held on by a signal from the VAF; if that's lost the fuel pump stops when you let go of the key.)
Fortunately, this is easy to diagnose. Jumper FP to B+ in the diagnostic connector; that forces the Fuel Pump to run with Key-on. If that allows it to run, you've found the problem (don't drive with the jumper in; the truck is designed that way to save your life.)
If that doesn't help, pull the plugs and look at them. If you have some wet ones, I'd suspect an ignition problem in those cylinders.
Good luck!

Alright guys... Im kinda stumped...
I used the jumper trick and heard the fuel pump running. (even picked up a new COR relay)
Tested using a spark tester on one of the cylinders to see if the plug was getting juice and it is...
Here is a video of my poor runner.
The battery was going dead... but check it out and see what you think.

Pull a vacuum line near the throttle body and give her some starting fluid. If it kicks up and runs for a couple seconds you can rule out no spark. I would also check the cam timing, then verify ignition timing.
