Truck not starting HELP

Im having some trouble with my 88 pickup... I pulled out the alternator to have it tested and while I was taking it out it sparked a little due to me forgetting to disconnect the battery. After finding out it was good I put it back in and replaced the spark plugs and wires and now the truck wont even try to turn over. Help please

You blew a fuse (probably one of the "fusible links").

I think it is the Yota Gods Punishing you for forgetting something so basic.

Check the main 80 amp fuse under the hood. I did the exact same thing three months ago. Ironically, before that, my dome light wouldn't come on with the door switch (only the on off switch). Now it works perfectly.lol

Yep like they say ^^.
Especially the main 80-Amp FL...
... and the FL wire...

Also some fuse may look good but are not good electrically. Do voltage checks. All points at fuses and wires before ignition switch should have 12V.

If it's a 1988 Pickup 22RE, here's the schematic... (Ignore notes in red and green- those are for another post)

Your truck will forgive you. Take it out for a nice drive after it's fixed. Maybe dinner and a movie. They can be temperamental if you forget important stuff, but they're extremely loyal.
