okay so for some reason my 88 4runner all the dash lights turn on when the key is in accessory then when its turned over to start everything shuts off. i already cleaned all the connectors to a shiny new finish, and shocked myself on the starter connector when cleaning it, it will start when i jump it, but when i turn it off after a half an hour of charging and leave it for about 5 minute it wont start again. also my rear window keeps going up, ill put it down, but when i step on the gas it goes back up. and the switches worked for about 8 minutes and now it wont even go down. HELP ME SERIOUSLY, ITS ABOUT TO RAIN AND IDC ABOUT MY GRAMMAR AT THIS POINT, JUST HELP

 

Clean battery terminals. Check loose grounds. Your battery might be shot. Rear window thing is weird.

 

Had your battery tester?
Measured battery voltage at battery post when you try to turn over?
Measured voltage at battery connector when you try to turn over?

No Multi-meter? When you get one, we'll go from there.

 

if it starts with a jump, battery is shot. It may read 12v but if it doesn't have its full amperage it won't start. Also clean/replace the cable ends for battery cable. You want to have fresh clean copper on the wires or clean shiny lead on the terminals.

 

okay so for some reason today everything is working. rear window goes up and down, engine starts every time, and my top is on while its raining. im not going to question why everything is working now, im just gonna go with it?
