Well last night we got another '86 4runner to replace the wifes wrecked up junker chevvy hhr. Unlike my runner, the wifes is in like new condition still for an '86. Got it from the guy who bought it new in '87.....single owner for all these years, isnt that cool. We plan on just keeping it going as he did for all these years as it is now my wife's DD. I enjoyed driving it home so much i think i may sell my T-100 so i can get an older truck again. So excited about it i just needed to tell someone else!

Thanks. It was hard not to show how excited i was when dealing the P.O.. It is so nice that everything is working great on this 4runner just as it did back in the day it came out. Lots of the plastic interior parts are sun faded but otherwise great shape also. So glad i got it and so is the wife. Really was a score for us.

Wow!!! That is a great looking runner. The best looking trucks to me is one that has been taken care of. As far as the faded interior, it is easy to freshen up the plastic with interior paint. The first time I heard of interior paint, I was leary of it, but Stacey David did it for Ted Nugents Bronco. Easy to do and makes a big difference. Nice score on the runner.

Thanks Terry. Yeah i was thinking of that paint too. My beat up wheeler '86 4runner has painted interior parts and it has held up well. When the wife and i had to drop down a package plan with our cable and i realized i don't get to see Stacey's show anymore i was so bummed out. It is hands down my favorite car show as i've watching that guy since he started the show "Trucks" when it came out all those years ago.

Wow that's a clean looking 4runner, you don't see to many all original survivors any that great of shape!

Your wheelin rig looks pretty nice too from the pic!

I agree on Stacy David, he's one of my favorite car/truck show hosts, I think he still has a show called Gearz, its hard for me to keep track of it since stupid DIRECT TV changes up their channels on a weekly basis, lol. I've been waiting for Stacy to finish up his "Sergeant Rocks" Dodge power wagon monster truck project for years ( I think he started it on TRUCKS) that thing is going to be a beast!

LOL^^^

Those are some nice pictures of a clean orginal. Mine started out that way but was far from it when I got it. Nice to know what it looked like at one time. I think that is the first one I have seen in true condition. Thanks!!!

As soon as i bought it I knew that i wanted to post it up here immediately for the reason that people like you Terry would appreciate seeing a true original one. My only gripe to the wife was that it is in such great running shape and so clean from PO detailing it that theres nothing to tinker with. Haha guess it saves me time to get my 22re rebuilt in the other '86.
