So i was out messing with my wifes pickup today removing the rear leafs. I had one side removed and remembered that i had some f150 springgs so i grabbed it and placed it on the spring pearch and bolted it to the 6 inch shackle and it looks like i can just move the spring hangers forward a few inches and not have to change my wheelbase or shackle location. my question is has anyone used this method of installing these springs ? I left the other side of the axle bolted to the stock leaf spring so i know the axle didn't move. it just seems like swapping these f150 springs on using this method might work and take way less time. no measuring. will it work?
