Gear ratio for 88 Toyota with 35's

Hey, I was wondering what gear ratio would be good for an 88 Toyota pickup that has 35's on it. Also would it be good for on road and off road driving? I'll post a pic soon of my truck. Thanks.

A 26 year old Toyota with with 35's on it will not drive as it did from the factory, regardless of what gear ratio's it has.

I understand that you're new and that you have question but it sounds to me like you need to do some serious reading on the subject. I just googled "toyota gear ratio 35" and it came up with pages of results containing exactly the info you're looking for.

By reading random threads you can learn much more than what you're actually asking and I bet you'll pick up some neat tips/tricks along the way. So instead of us giving you the answer, we're showing you how to gain knowledge which is much more useful.

wow...that was all deep and philosohpical of me. Scary...

I ran 35" and 4:88 gears in a 85 4runner for years. The rpm's were close to stock going down the freeway. I would go 5:29 , it will bump up the rpm's a couple of hundred and help it driving in the hills.
