Converting manual locks and windows to sr5 electric.
Curious if anyone on here has ever experimented with installing power door locks and electric window motors. Basically everything aside from the door shell it self. The paint on my truck is 9 out of 10 so I don't want to spend the money to use complete sr5 power doors and have them painted. I'm sure I can install the "guts" of the door in mine just fine but when it comes to wiring do most all fuse panels have an existing block for powerlocks/windows whether it was a base model or sr5. My truck is a 93.

I kinda like my Hot pink Doors They go so well with the blue paint.
I am not sure if your truck has all you need .
I think you need the complete system The Door Relay The 2 circuit breakers one for Doors and one for windows .plus all the harness.
Simple matter to see if your truck has a spot for them. 88 they were to the right of the fuse block in the left corner of the cab.
It seems in 1989the Ewd`s split one for the Trucks one for the 4Runner
Then it seems it also depends just what year your parts are coming from because till 92 in the 4Runner things changed quite a bit from 1989.

Nice ride. Pretty sure the regulators are also different depending on whether you have the vented windows or not. Couldn't tell you whether or not they made power regulators for the vented windows, but something else to look into.

Great info man I really appreciate it! I had planned on needing all of the harness and relays, I was just curious if on the fuse panel it was similar to trucks that May or may not have had.. Well let's say air conditioning. Sometimes whether they had ac or not there was still an open fuse block marked A/C. I want it to look as factory as possible and if I can install everything as if it came off the line like that, that would be perfect

You may need the main harness that runs across the top of the dash which means the whole dash comes out. It is a pretty good size job to do if you are wanting it the way that Toyota did it. I believe all of the holes are in the door and all you need to do is move the plastic pieces that the scews go into, into the correct square holes for the arm rest and other accessories. I know this applies to the 84-88. The next generation such as yours may be prewired, that I dont know about.

This is one of those things that could very easy be real simple or turn into a major project
Where the whole cab is all across the garage or worse outside and the monsoons start.
