Regearing requires new locker?

Regearing requires new locker?
Just wondering...I'm planning out mods for my FJ-40. Its likely that I'll get a locker installed in the rear initially. At some later date after taking care of a few "other" things I'll be upgrading to bigger tires and will be regearing. I'm thinking that the lockers are independent of the gear ratio, but I'd like some confirmation thats the case.

Jake, you are a lucky man!
When looking around for a Powertrax Lockright, there's just one listed for the stock axles, which to me indicated it didn't matter what the gearing looked like in side for the stock housing.

No difference in Cruiser diffs as long as the year & model are right. There were different differentials used in different Cruisers but mostly overseas. AFAIK FJ40, FJ60, and FJ80 rears are all the same, front FJ80's can be different.
