97 limited 4runner No crank no start

Just bought a 97 limited toyota 4runner with 3.4 v6 and auto transmission.

Wont crank over. No clicks. all lights and everything works

good battery
new starter

maybe neutral safety switch?

i can jump the starter and starts up and runs.
i ran new battery cable and no luck as well.

anyone have wiring diagram for Neutral safety switch so i can bypass it to see if the switch is bad because those are expensive!

thanks

Have you carefully checked all the fuses?

Someone else recently had the same problem and it was a bad cell in the battery. They thought the battery was good because it was only 1.5 years old.

i have check all fuses and they are good. i replaced the starter relay as well.

i have hooked to a big battery charger as well. hmm maybe the battery is junk! when i turn the key to crank the engine over the clock and radio lights go dead as if it cuts the power. battery holds 12volts but like ya say not always good. i was thinking it was a ground issue.
thanks

Should be holding more like 12.6-12.7v......12v is about a 50% charge on an auto 12v battery.

figured it out! the aftermarket alarm previous owner had was tapped in to the signal wire for the starter solenoid. well cut that crap out and it starts. not bad i guess for $1200 bucls.
