Looks really good! What did you use to bake it? My dad was going to get into at-home powder coating, but my mom won't let us use the oven in the kitchen

You can use a toaster oven for small parts...they are cheap....I picked up a like new oven off craigslist for 100 bucks or so. electric only!

It is way easier than you think! prep is the key.

Never powder coat in an oven you plan on eating out of again - all your food will taste like powder coat

Dave, what type of finish is that powder? It looks like it has a texture to it

I've wondered, how do you coat aluminum, being that it's non-magnetic, or does that even matter? Do you have to hook the part up the a ground and/or charge the particles in any way before coating? And if so they don't fall off when the ground is removed for baking?

its not magnetic....it's the fact it can conduct electricity...
powder is electrostatic-ally attracted to the part due to flow of current.

Looks good!!!...Now you just need to tape the letters off and powder coat it a different color..

I did these in powder...

Even did the transmission....had to take it apart first to fit in the oven...
