not starting/need major help

i currently own a stock 85 Toyota 4x4 pickup. the problem i am having is that it isn't starting. when i turn the key NOTHING happens. yesterday i drove it a little in town and back and it started and turned off like usual, then me and my dad looked at carb and he flooded it really bad. later that night i was getting in to go bowling and i turned the key and nothing happened. my friend and i hooked up jumper cables to it because i had left my lights on all day like a idiot. now like the dummy i am, i put them on backwards and had them on for like 5-10 minutes before we realized it. then switched them and tried it again, and like the last time it didn't work. i woke up this morning and went to go fix it and found out that i blew my ignition fuse and bought a new on, still didn't fix it, swapped batteries and it didn't work, tried push starting it and the same result, the starter i think is fine. can someone help me this is my daily and i need it to be fixed asap
