mud flaps

Hi all, I took my running boards off and I dont want to throw rocks up all over my truck so Im wondering what everyone is running on their rigs.

A good set of sliders with filler plates will help.

My '87 came to me with a pair of those on the rear.
Mine have never been that clean tho.

My recommendation is to buy paint protection film and put it on your rockers, bottom of the doors and the rear wheel wells ect. Our shop uses the 3M brand and it works wonders.

If you do have to use mud flaps, don't put screws/bolts through the fenders to install them. Just causes rust. Removable flaps are the way to go. There are a few aftermarket options but I just made mine with square tubing and some generic, heavy flaps from the truck acessory store.
