Hey guys, Im new to posting but been lurking for quite some time. Figured its time to get active.

Anyways I got myself an 05 Tacoma TRD Off Road a few weeks ago, a decision highly influenced by the 1993 pickup I owned a few years back. Since I have been out of the yota world for some time I was wondering if somebody can give me a heads up on what to expect with this V6 6 Speed Manual Off Road edition.

Im looking for those quirky toyota related nuances such as the timing chain guide issue of the 22re, frame rot of the 1st gen tacos, head gasket life, ect. My main concern was that somebody mentioned the 05 Off Roads with the locking rear diff has some issues. So there it is. Feel free to chime in with any advice, it will be greatly appreciated.
