Is this a correct electric fuel pump to use on my setup?

I am assembling a 22r/20r hybrid and the head does not have the hole for the mecanical fuel pump, so I want to run an electric fuel pump. A guy is selling this holley fuel pump brand new on a local message board, would this be correct for my setup?

http://www.holley.com/12-801-1.asp

I will be running a weber carb if it makes a difference. Also it says ''regulator not required'', is that correct or should I run one anyway for the weber carb?

Thanks!

Looks like it should work just fine. I would run a FPR with it though, or at least have a guage hooked up and see what you're getting and put a FPR on if the psi is too high without one. That said max 7psi and webers like 3-3.5psi I believe.

I'm pretty sure that all the truck 20R heads had the mechanical fuel pump hole, but it is my understanding the heads for cars (like the celica) did not. Also, if you have a car head, then I'm pretty sure that it doesn't have the threaded power steering bosses - might want to check that.

Get a FPR for that weber. like bingle said, Webers like 3.5 psi

Good thanks, it's pretty strange I was told it came off a 1980 truck and had been stored since 1983, but you never know when you buy used, so it probably came off a car head. As far as the p/s bosses I haven't thought to check it, the head is at the machine shop right now so I'll check that once I get it back, I imagine it isn't a big issue though just just need to make threads, or drill and thread.

Might want to slide by the machine shop while it is there to check, at least that way that could probably tap it for you. It should have the P/S bosses and holes already, they just may not be tapped. I believe it is an M10x1.25 thread - there is a bottom to the bolt holes so it would need to be tapped with the correct tap for the job.

Thanks Dave, it's something that I don't mind doing myself anyway, that reminds me I also have to find a p/s bracket
