Hiii im new on this forum...i have a 1995 4runner 4x4 stick 6 cylinder , have check engine light on,, i do the jump wired, and have a code 17.....look evrty wheer, and its not code 17..the light blinks ones....few seconds later blink 7 times...can any body help me whit that please!! thanks..

 

What are the symptoms/problems?

 

has a bad idle.....but...the problem it's the need smog check and whit the check engine light on won't pass the smog..

The erratic idle could be a number of things. What's the code definition? Since I don't have a '95... Idle problem? TPS?

Upon further investigation, I gather that there is no code 17? Possibly a code 71, which I think is EGR related?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if the CEL returns? Sometimes they will throw a hard code while running down the road, and an intermittent problem may occur... Just a thought...

 

thanks for respond, and nop. i don't have stuck at the mall...i disconect the fuse,.. light whent out for a bit and then come on again...i check the EGR lines for a like..found a small air like on 1 off the lines fixit...disconect the fuse again run's good for a day....and the light came on again....whit the same code 17.. i tought maybe 71...but give 1 solid blink and 7 short blinks
