A couple general 22re questions,(while rebuilding top end)(pics)

So I have a couple general questions about my 22re As I am doing the top end ( it needed valve seals and the timing chain broke the guides with 30k on rebuild from shop with Previous owner).

1. I have located, understand, and clean very well inside and out the 22re EGR cooler, The plate at the back of the motor. I have a factory toyota gasket to bolt up to my new ENgbuilder head. I cannot find torque specs any where for this thing, is there anything special I need to know I sure as heck do not want this thing to leak any time soon. ( anti-seize on the bolt threads?)

2.There are 3 coolant passage pipes. 2 small for the Heater(?) and one large. All three have a decent amount of corrosion inside them. Tonight I took a gun cleaning bore and an old 12 gauge brass cleaning tool and scrubbed the one that's fairly long and straight. But was not able to fully remove the corrosion. and I know I will never be able to get it all out especially in the bends. Im trying to really do this truck right, and get it reliable for another 28 years ( its an 1985) The dealer ship online sells those pipes for about 50$ a piece. So what says thy yota tech, 150$ on new pipes, a special way of cleaning?, and or just don't worry about it.

3. This one has been fairly covered, but my search was not yielding agreements/ group consensus. buying shims to center the valve adjusters on the valve/ versus the cam. How close it close enough. It seemed to get in good shape on my old head but my new engnbldr head is just a little off on some of them. And yes the rockers are fully seated on their dowels.( one thing to add, some of the adjusters are slightly off where the cam lifter is centered, Which is more important?) I also replaced all the valve adjusters and nuts as It was a brand new head. Also the cam is factory and it well within spec, I checked.

Thanks for everything.!

something tells me as I was checking the picture of the cam and rocker, it looks like the wear pattern on the cam shows it has been to the side for sometime now, None the less I was to do it right while I am this far into it!
