Fuel problems on 1988 3.0

Last weekend truck died, got it home and tracked down it was a blown 15 Amp fuse that powers the fuel pump.

I replaced the fuse and the got it started, started a few times and then I let it idle for around 5 minutes and went to push in the parking brake to drive it and it died again. Fuel pump is not coming on, checked the fuse and it is good. Don't the fp to the b+ and still nothing. Pulled the fuel pump and checked the fuel pump on a battery and it comes on.

Right after it died I touched the fuel pump relay under the driver side dash and it was warm to hot to the touch, so Im thinking that it might be bad? Any way to test it to make sure.

Or any other ideas?

Put your multimeter on B+ to ground with key-on. If you don't have 12v, you should check the IGN and EFI fuses (I'm going to guess you're referring to the EFI fuse when you say "15 Amp fuse that powers the fuel pump.")

There is no "fuel pump relay." The COR is on the passenger side, so you're probably talking about the EFI relay (referred to as MFI here: http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b.../2powersou.pdf ) Testing procedure here: http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...95efimainr.pdf
